Is Argentina Safe?

Yes Argentina is a safe and a secure country. Buenos Aires is the New York or Paris of South America. The city is lots of fun and very nice; however with any big city they do have some crime and poverty. Like New York or Paris, it is not recommended to walk around late at night or with jewelry.

Do we need any shots or immunizations before going to Argentina?

No, you do not need any shots or immunizations to travel in Argentina. However we do recommend checking with your personal physician to see if there is anything that you may personally need.

Is the water safe to drink?

The water in the lodges and in Buenos Aires is safe to drink. However, we have bottled water in each room and at every meal.

Do we need a Visa to go to Argentina?

No visa is required for US citizens.

Is there any specific dress code for dinners at the lodges or in Buenos Aires?

No, casual is fine at the lodges and most restaurants in Buenos Aires. However, if you would like to wear a jacket to a fine restaurant in Buenos Aires it would be fine.

Who will meet us at the airport in Argentina and can we get the contact phone numbers?

Our team will meet you at the airport as soon as you clear customs. Please give us a call and we will give you the contact numbers for our associates in Argentina.

Other activities before or after the hunt?

We highly recommend staying the day of arrival and departure in Buenos Aires. The city is great and it really breaks the trip up nice and if there are any problems with the airlines you will not miss your hunting time. We offer all sorts of additional tours and hunting in Argentina. Please give us a call to discuss options.

Cell phones?

Some cell phones do work in Argentina. Please check with your provider to see if yours will work. You can also rent cell phones in the Argentina Airport that will work. Please let us know if you would like to do this and we can arrange it.



What is the weather like in the hunting area?

Because Argentina is located in the southern hemisphere the season are reversed. June, July, and August are the winter months with temperatures in the low 30’s and highs in the 70’s. December, January, February they have highs in the 90’s and lows in the 60’s. Please visit before you depart and type in Cordoba to get a detailed weather forecast for your trip. Rain is possible throughout the year.



When is the best time to go for the dove shooting?

The season is year round and the shooting is good all year long. April and May are the harvest months and can make the shooting a little tougher and some times the drive times can be a little further as the doves are really moving and traveling to the different fields to feed. August – January are probably the best months as the doves are highly concentrated during this time of the year.

How do we pay for our shells and other expenses in Argentina?

You can pay for your shells and licenses with a personal check and pay the tips and gun permits with cash in US$. You do not need any Argentina currency. There are 25 shells per box

How long is the drive time to and from the fields?

From 5 minutes to 1 hour

Can we bring doves back to the US?

You can but it is very difficult and can cause many problems for you when you get back to US Customs. The hold-up and inspection can cause your to miss you connecting flights home and on the long flight home the birds can spoil very easily. We would recommend not bringing the doves back.

Do we need hunter safe courses?

Is it better to rent guns or bring our own?

It is much easier to rent guns from us and will cost about the same as brining your own guns. We have very good Beretta and Benilli 20 gauges for rent.

Do we need soft cases for gun while we are hunting?

No, we have them for you.

Do we need gun cleaning kits?

No, we clean guns for you each night.



What type electricity do the lodges have?

The lodges work on 210 volt. Therefore you will need a standard European converter to use the outlets. We do have some of these converters down there but we would recommend bringing your own.

Do we need to bring our own soap or shampoo?

No, we do provide them for you, but if you prefer to bring your own, you are welcome to do so.

Is there TV or internet at the lodge?

There is no TV but we can get internet for you at the lodge or at a local internet café.

Is there a pool or hot tub at the lodge?

No there is not a pool or a hot tub.
