Mozambique Hunting Camps & Concessions
Mozambique hunting concessions
Mozambique is a wonderful country to hunt. This is true old Africa hunting at its finest. The two concessions are located actually inside the core of the Niassa Reserve. We have been hunting the buffer zones bordering the Niassa Reserve for many years. In 2008 the company was rewarded with two Concessions inside the Reserve. The hunting here has been fantastic thus far and we are still going into virgin territory that has never been hunted. If you are looking for a real adventure this is it! The two Concessions border one another and cover over 7000 square kilometers. The area is totally wild with no fencing or unnatural boundaries. Being part of the rift valley drainage system they are rich in vegetation diversity, which in turn provides a wealth of unique animal species. The areas change continuously offering miombo woodlands, ox bows, granite inselberg mountains, rolling hills, and riverine thickets.
Trophy quality is very good and the Concessions border Tanzania to the north and are only about 180 miles from the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania. Hunting is fair chase and old Africa style hunting with much walking and tracking. Although it is legal to hunt cats during darkness in Mozambique most leopards are hunted during daylight hours showing the strength of the population and remoteness of the areas.
Our camps are very nice and over look the Rovuma River. Accommodations are in thatched bungalows with ensuite bathrooms providing hot and cold showers and flush toilets. The heat of the day and evening time is spent in our cool spacious lounge/dining area, which provides ice-cold beverages and comfortable seating with a breathtaking view over looking the Rovuma.
