Tanzania Specials 2008

The Tanzania Government was very late in releasing the 2008 trophy fees. Because of this a lot of the Safari bookings were delayed or put off until 2009. To try and recover some of our cost we are offering some very attractive specials. These specials are for the 2008 season.

Concessions to be hunted

Mbarang'andu: this concession borders the southern part of the Selous Game reserve. This is a true big 4 (lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant) paradise. The area is large (over 2,000 square miles) and the elephant hunting is some of the best in Tanzania. The lion here have good manes and the success rate is 80%. Elephant success rate is 100% from 40 - 60 pounds with 80 pound bulls taken each year. Leopard success rate is 100% and buffalo is 100% with bulls from 40"- 44" common. Plains game can be a little sparse but the Eland and Sable are good in Mbarang'andu.

Talamai: This concession is south of the Tarangire National Park and north of the Selous Game Reserve. The Leopard hunting in Talamai is world class. Leopards of 190 pounds and 7' 6" - 7' 10" are taken every year. The Massiland species are also very good in Talamai, (Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk, Dik Dik, etc. ). Every now and again a spectacular lion comes out of Talamai. If you are after a big leopard this is the place to go.

Selous K3: The Selous has always been a wonderful place to hunt. The lion are big in this area, but do not have great manes. The leopard and elephant hunting is good and the buffalo and plains game hunting in fabulous. If you are looking for buffalo, hippo, croc and plains game this is the concession to hunt.

Moyowosi: This is a legendary hunting area in Tanzania. The leopard and lion hunting here is fantastic. Sitatunga can be hunted here as well as sable and general plains game. We have also taken some very good elephant out of this area over the past few years. The charter flight to the Moyowosi can be expensive, but it is well worth the cost. As this is one of the finest areas in all of Africa to hunt.

• Observer fees @ $300/day per observer to be added if applicable - Normal rate is $550 per day
• Air-Freight & Taxidermist charges for trophies.
• Game fees for trophies killed or wounded as per the attached price list

Agreed rates are not refundable under any circumstances however the substitution of client is possible and dates can be changed by mutual concerns.
